GENERAL INFORMATION

The candidates ought to assume their full responsibility regarding the authenticity and correspondence between the digital soft copies and the original documents.
According to the additional public health requirements imposed by the Romanian authorities applicable to the admission process, following to the current epidemiological situation, foreign citizens willing to be physically present in order to submit their application files at the International Relations Office, need to display the following documents:
- Self-declaration stating that they have complied with the isolation / quarantine regime and haven't had any close contact with a person confirmed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days;
- Certificate of health showing the current health status of the holder and possible personal history related to chronic diseases and SARS-COV 2 respectively;
- Negative result of COVID-19 disease identification test issued 3-4 days before arrival at the university.
University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest offers 30 BSc programmes of study (2full-time, part-time and distance-learning) and 33 MSc programmes of study (full-time and part-time) taught in Romanian, English and French.
The fields of study covered by USAMV are: Agronomy, Biology, Forestry, Horticulture, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Food Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, Biotechnologies, Applied Engineering Sciences, Engineering and Management, Engineering and Mmanagement in Agriculture and Rural Development.
TUITION FEES per academic year:
- BACHELOR STUDIES:
- All Study programs: 3000 euro;
- Faculty of Veterinary Medicine: 6.030 euro.
- MASTER STUDIES:
- All Study programs: 3000 euro.
- PhD STUDIES:
- Engineering and Management of Plant and Animal Resources: 4.200 euro;
- Veterinary Medicine Doctoral School: 4.800 euro.
Students wishing to enroll in studies at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest must pay the tuition fees in the national currency of Romania, respectively the equivalent in lei (RON), of the amounts in euro displayed on the university website at the section “Taxe și tarife universitare”, at BNR exchange rate on the day of payment, that can be found by accessing the following link: https://www.cursbnr.ro/

Admission to university studies of
CITIZENS OF ROMANIAN ORIGIN
for the academic year 2021-2022
This section applies for candidates of Romanian descent from the Republic of Moldova, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, Hungary and the Diaspora. This includes, in accordance with Government Decision no. 689/1994, as amended and supplemented and the Law. 299/2007, republished, with subsequent amendments:
- people who freely assume the Romanian cultural identity persons of Romanian origin, persons from the Romanian linguistic and cultural area, living outside Romania's borders regardless of how they are denominated (armâni, armânji, aromâni, basarabeni, bucovineni, cuţovlahi, daco-români, fărşeroţi, herţeni, istro-români, latinidunăreni, macedoromâni, macedo-români, maramureşeni, megleniţi, megleno-români, moldoveni, moldovlahi, rrămâni, rumâni, valahi, vlahi, vlasi, volohi, macedo-armânji and all other related forms of the above);
- Romanian emigrants, whether they kept or not the Romanian citizenship, and their descendants;
- Romanian citizens residing abroad.
One condition for receiving this type of scholarship is that the studies to be carried out only into Romanian. Candidates who do not speak Romanian well enough can follow the Romanian preparatory year (the preparatory year is offered under the same financial terms as the program of study for which the candidate was accepted).
Please, note that:
There are two categories of scholarships:
- Total scholarship: No tuition fees, with a monthly grant
- Partial scholarship: No tuition fees, with no monthly grant
Important!
- The Romanian Government approves annually by Government Decision the number of students and the number of total or partial scholarships covered from the budget of the ministry.
- It is also possible to apply under this program as a self-funded student, in which case the tuition fee will be the same as for Romanian citizens.

Application file:
Every candidate must prepare a set of documents which includes:
- Application form – for Bachelor/Master/PhD studies;
- Certificate of birth - legalized photocopy and translation (English or Romanian);
- Passport – photocopy;
- Proof of legal name change, if applicable – photocopy;
- Statutory declaration, based on the freely expressed will, to assume the Romanian cultural identity, according to the legislation in force;
- Copy of the graduation degree (translated into Romanian or an international language) as follows:
- High school/ Baccalaureate degree or equivalent (for Bachelor studies);
- Bachelor degree or equivalent (for Master studies);
- Master degree or equivalent (for PhD studies);
- Transcript of records for high-school, bachelor and master studies - copy and certified translation (in original) in Romanian for the documents issued in other languages;
- Certificate of Health;
- Certificate of linguistic competence for Romanian language;
- Statement of Truth - in which the candidate declares that he/she does not have a Romanian identity document and that he/she does not have a permanent residence in Romania.
Admission steps:

The application file is sent by the candidate with his/her full assumption regarding the authenticity and correspondence between the digital and the original documents, keeping one option for a single study program.
The final results of the admission contest are displayed on the USAMVB website on 31.07.2021 and include the List of candidates in the order of the average competition, by categories of places.
Every admitted candidate shall confirm his/her place of study by sending the Confirmation form by e-mail until August 3rd, 2021.
Registration:
- Bachelor / Master: at the Secretary Office of the faculty that coordinates the study program chosen by the candidate and for which he/she has obtained the Certificate of recognition of studies.
- PhD: at the Secretary Office of the Doctoral School after the Certificate of Recognition of Studies had been issued.

Taxes:
There are no fees for enrolling in studies and processing the admission file!
Language requirements:
- all the study programs are conducted into Romanian language for the Citizens of Romanian Origin (Români de pretutindeni);
- in accordance to the Romanian legislation, Citizens of Romanian Origin will be registered at the University following to the graduating of the Romanian language preparatory year or on the basis of a Certificate of Romanian language skills;
- the length of the Romanian language preparatory course for:
- Bachelor: 1 academic year;
- Master/PhD/Post-graduate: 6 months;
- the candidates proving by means of documents (diplomas, certificates, study documents and transcript of records) at least four successive years studied in Romanian language in a Romanian institution or owning a Certificate of Linguistic Competence (minimum B2 level) issued by the Romanian Language Institute are to be exempt from the requirement to submit the certificate of graduation from the preparatory year.

Admission to university studies of
EU MEMBER STATES, EEA AND SWISS CONFEDERATION CITIZENS
for the academic year 2021-2022
Citizens of the European Union member states, of the European Economic Area member states and of the Swiss Confederation (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) may take part in the entrance exam which grants access to education, including state-funded places, in the same conditions as Romanian students.
Citizens of the European Union, of the Swiss Confederation and of the EEA countries, who have a Romanian high-school diploma will follow the procedure published on the university website.
Citizens of the European Union, of the Swiss Confederation and of the EEA countries, who have a diploma obtained in an EU country other than Romania need to have their diploma validated by the National Centre for Degree Assessment and Academic Recognition (CNRED) of the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research.
Citizens of the European Union, of the Swiss Confederation and of the EEA countries, who have a diploma obtained in a non-EU country also need to obtain a graduation certificate issued by the National Centre for Degree Assessment and Academic Recognition (CNRED) of the Romanian Ministry of Education.

The citizens of the Member States of the European Union, of the states belonging to the Economic Area, may take part at the admission process organized by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest under the same conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens, including tuition fees, only by providing the Certificate of Recognition of Studies.
Upon admission in all cycles of university studies taught in Romanian language, foreign citizens, regardless of the method of admission or the form of financing [budget with scholarship, budget without scholarship, self-finaced in RON (CPL) or self-financed in foreign currency (CPV)] must present the Certificate of linguistic competence for Romanian language issued by institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education.

Admission to PhD studies:
Citizens of the Member States of the European Union, of the states belonging to the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation can also apply for admission to the doctoral studies cycle under the same conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens, including tuition fees.
The recognition of studies will be performed by the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED - within the Ministry of Education) before the registration of candidates for the admission contest; subsequently each candidate must present the Certificate of Recognition of Studies.
The application file must contain the following documents:

- Curriculum vitae - Europass format;
- List of published and / or communicated works;
- Letters of recommendation from two professors or two research specialists who know the candidate's activity;
- Research topic proposal - endorsed by the doctoral supervisor;

IMPORTANT!!!
- Documents issued exclusively in English or French do not need to be translated! It is compulsory to provide copies for documents in Romanian language / English / French / Spanish / Italian, and authorized translation in Romanian for other languages.
- Diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus need to bear the Hague Apostil Convention from the authorities of the country that issued the document.
- Diplomas issued in countries which are not party of the Hague Convention must be authenticated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and also the Embassy of Romania in that country.

Application file:
- The admission process is based on application file submission, depending on the average within the limit of places, with the inclusion in the schooling capacity.
- Foreign candidates are eligible for studies in Romania if they provide documents proving citizenship of their mother country and if they are graduates with baccalaureate/bachelor/master’s degree or their equivalent, together with other documents required for the recognition and equivalence of their studies.
- The enrolment is made up according to the methodologies published by the Ministry of Education and also to the admission procedure of the university.
Every candidate must prepare a set of documents which includes:
- CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH - legalized photocopy and translation (English or Romanian);
- PASSPORT– photocopy;
- APPLICATION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF THE LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE TO STUDIES- in two original copies;
- STUDY DIPLOMAS (legalized photocopy and translation into English or Romanian):
- Baccalaureate degree or equivalent for undergraduate studies;
- Bachelor diploma or equivalent for master studies,
- Baccalaureate, bachelor and master degrees for PhD studies;
- TRANSCRIPTS OF RECORDS – legalized photocopy and translation (English or Romanian). For the recognition of partial studies done abroad it must submit as well the curriculum of these courses;
- CERTIFICATE OF LANGUAGE SKILLS - exempted are the candidates coming from states whose official language is the study language of the specialization they have applied for;
- APPROVAL FORM OF THE SUPERVISOR (only for PhD candidates);
- RESEARCH TOPIC PROPOSAL - endorsed by the doctoral supervisor (only for PhD candidates);
- LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION - from two professors or two research specialists who know the PhD candidate's activity (only for PhD candidates);
- CERTIFICATE OF HEALTH - in an international language;
Please, note that:

- The original copies of these documents must be stamped by the Embassy of Romania in the issuing country or to bear the Hague Apostille Convention from the authorities of the country that issued the documents (only if the respective country is a signatory of the Hague Convention).
- Diplomas issued in countries which are not party of the Hague Convention must be authenticated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and also the Embassy of Romania in that country.

Taxes:
- Please, note that the tuition fee for the first academic year must be paid before submitting the visa application!
- In order to obtain a multi-annual study visa, Non-EU students are required to pay the full tuition fee at the beginning of the academic year.
- Tuition fees, in foreign currency, for self-financed candidates are paid for the entire length of the academic year (12 months).
Registration:
- For enrollment at the faculty, the student must submit the original study documents and the proof of tuition fees payment for the first academic year;
- Bachelor/Master: at the Secretary Office of the faculty that coordinates the study program chosen by the candidate and for which he/she has obtained the Letter of Acceptance to Studies.
- PhD: at the Secretary Office of the Doctoral School after the Letter of Acceptance to Studies had been issued.

IMPORTANT!
The admission process takes the following steps:
- 1) The application file is registered at the university;
- 2) If complete, the application file is processed by the university and sent for evaluation to the Ministry of Education;
- 3) For the candidates accepted, the Ministry of National Education will issue the Letter of Acceptance to Studies, which will be sent in original to the university (in terms of at least 30 working days);
- 4) The university will inform the candidate about the acceptance and will send him/her the document;
- 5) The candidate must contact the closest Romanian Embassy and search for information concerning the study visa application. The visa application is a personal approach and the university is not in the position to interfere in this process. In case the visa application includes some documents issued by the university the candidate must require specifically those documents.
- 6) For enrollment at the faculty the student must submit the original study documents and the proof of tuition fees payment for the first academic year.

PREPARATORY YEAR
According to the Romanian legislation, foreign citizens will be registered at the University following to the graduating of the Romanian language preparatory year or on the basis of a certificate proving Romanian linguistic competencies; during the preparatory stage candidates will acquire Romanian language vocabulary as well as the specific vocabulary needed for the future studies, if the study program is carried out into Romanian.
The duration of the preparatory course for bachelor degree studies is of one academic year while for the master’s degree studies, PhD studies and post-graduate studies are at least 6 months.
The candidate will be registered in our university at any program taught into Romanian language only after graduating the preparatory year.
The candidates proving by means of documents (diplomas, certificates, study documents and transcript of records) at least four successive years studied in Romanian language in a Romanian institution or owning Certificate of Linguistic Competence (minimum B2 level) issued by the Romanian Language Institute are to be exempt from the requirement to submit the certificate of graduation from the preparatory year.
